Youth Programs

Native Connections Youth Program:

About Youth Family Programs:

The Quapaw Nation was awarded funding through SAMHSA to promote suicide awareness and prevention in Ottawa County. This is a 5-year project that includes providing direct mental health services to area youth, assessing community agencies’ readiness to serve individuals who are suicidal or at-risk of suicide, and professional development/training to youth and family-serving professionals and organizations. As well as provide youth with culturally relevant prevention and intervention alternatives through cultural connection.

Who We Serve

We provide services to at-risk Native American youth ages 5 to 24 years old and their families, with a focus on youth who have experienced trauma.  We offer a variety of individualized and community-based services to address issues such as trauma, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, mood dysregulation, family dysfunction, substance abuse, and grief & loss.
